Marek Losey's chilling two-hander stars Alex McQueen as Roy Tunt, a birdwatcher in a hide on the Suffolk mudflats awaiting a sighting of the rare sociable plover. Into the hide crashes Dave John, (Phil Campbell) muddy, blood-stained, edgy. As the two men talk, they discover they have a lot in common and begin to form a friendship until a newsflash on Roy's radio giving news of a police manhunt sets them both on a path to tragedy.

Hell's Pavement.

Feature Directed by Andy Kemp.
Produced by Oopic Films

The film follows five years in the life of a young girl as she struggles against an onslaught of good intentions. From her first encounter with the social care system, through a range of foster placements, to a haunting climax, we are challenged to question how it is that so many well-intentioned people can do so much unintended damage. And how it is that the £4bn a year we spend on children in care has failed to break the cycle of abuse, addiction and abandonment. A heart breaking, topical story about children in care.
Reviews: "Hell's Pavement is a low budget but nonetheless harrowing showcase of true-to-life events that instils anger at the fact that they actually happen. The most is made of the limited budget, and its simplistic nature allows for the message to be sent in a clear and concise way, all the while not coming off as preachy. Kudos to the filmmakers for actually going out and doing something to raise awareness about these real life tragedies, and what they've come up with is complex and powerful stuff."
